The registry is a database in Windows that contains important information about system hardware, installed programs and settings, and profiles of each of the user accounts on your computer. Windows continually refers to the information in the registry.
You should not need to make manual changes to the registry because programs and applications typically make all the necessary changes automatically. An incorrect change to your computer's registry could render your computer inoperable. However, if a corrupt file appears in the registry, you might be required to make changes.

Version: Registry Easy 5.6
I'm using the Registry Easy Lite version and it's FREE! It cleans, optimizes RAM memory, can scan and fix Windows system errors, and a whole lot more!
It's a bit pricy, as registry cleaners go, but well worth the price. You get your money's worth from it and more.
I first came across this registry cleaner 3 years ago, and had I known about it before I bought another cleaner, I would have bought Registry Easy instead. As it is, the other cleaner has performed very well for the past 6 years, and I'm satisfied with its performance in keeping my registry clean and uncluttered. I do a lot of downloading and testing of software and uninstalling of programs, and Registry Fix has kept up with all of that.
It seems that registry cleaning developers use different criteria for their algorithms for cleaning the registry. At least that's what I've come to learn. So far, I haven't had any problems using Registry Easy Lite along side Registry Fix. I enjoy access to the extra options in Registry Easy, and would recommend it to anyone considering purchasing a cleaner for their Windows based computer.
